Zac Efron

Zac Efron is said to be looking for a mid-seven-figure salary and script approval before signing a contract with the filmmakers.

"There's a lot of wrong ways to do this movie," the Daily Telegraph quoted Efron as telling Variety magazine.    "It's a matter of finding the right balance. Until we find it, I can't fully ..." he paused trying to find a word.    "... I can't finish that sentence," he said abruptly.    As the conversation moved on to the next topic, he finally finds the word.    "Commit. Until I fully commit," he stated.

Even though Efron at times may say what he wants, he somehow seems to catch himself and revert back to his script. But Ortega is confident that the actor will do very well with the new role.

"Its like life imitating the movies - suddenly (the cast) has come of age as young people. The light of the future is shining brightly into their eyes, begging them to make decisions that will impact on the rest of their lives," Ortega said.

"I see the characters and the actors as having arrived in the same place at the same time.

"But I have great confidence in them, their families and the teams they have around them, that they're going to make good choices. They are all wise beyond their years. They have a sense of humour. They're sensible, humbled by the attention. They're going to do good," he added.

Chace Crawford

GOSSIP GIRL star CHACE CRAWFORD has sparked rumours he is set to make his London stage debut - after meeting with producers at one of the city's most prestigious theatres.

The actor is said to be keen take on a role in an upcoming production and was recently photographed in central London meeting with bosses at the city's Donmar Warehouse.

A string of well-known stars have used the stage at the North London venue to test their acting mettle, including Gwyneth Paltrow and Nicole Kidman, who famously stripped off for her role in Sam Mendes' production of The Blue Room

Justin Bruening

What kind of a driver is Justin Bruening, star of the new ''Knight Rider''?    ''A [darn] good one,'' he says quickly.   He'd have to be. The stunt-filled action series (7 p.m. Wednesdays, NBC) has Bruening as secret agent Michael Traceur, who is behind the wheel of the world's most sophisticated automobile, KITT. A stunt driver has been teaching Bruening, primarily a soap opera actor until now, how to handle the show's vehicle for weeks.

''I'm learning a 'reverse 180,' how to fly the car into camera without hitting any folks,'' he says. ''It's really nerve-racking.   ''It's not that I am not comfortable behind the wheel. It's the fact that 30 people are standing behind the camera and I have to slide the car to a certain point in the stunt so I don't hurt them.''

His stunt mentor can come within 2 inches of the crew, Bruening brags. The actor, though, admits he's not quite that good yet. But ''I want to be good enough to handle a car that well,'' he says.     Of course, Bruening says he has some bad driving habits to break along the way. He listens to Metallica and other rock bands ''full blast'' as he's cruising down the highway with his wife, actress Alexa Havins, sitting next to him. But he says he's rarely been in trouble over his driving.

''I haven't had a speeding ticket since I was in college,'' he says, ''and even then I was in a speed trap.''    The 29-year-old Bruening hasn't always been in such a rush. Growing up in Nebraska, he says he's always had a yearning to stretch himself but never knew what to do about it.

''I had about 10 different majors in college but none of them seemed to fit,'' he says.    Once he got into acting, his life went full-throttle. He landed a role on ABC's ''All My Children,'' where he met his wife. After leaving the soap four years later, he tried out for prime-time parts.

He landed ''Knight Rider'' through an audition. The series has been a clear hit for NBC and was recently picked up for the entire season.    Fight stunts, Bruening can handle. Commanding his TV Mustang is another matter altogether. He's even taking his work home with him.     ''I'm really into my video games,'' he says.

 

His favorite?   '''Grand Theft Auto IV,''' he says with a laugh. ''It lets me work out my aggression of KITT.''

Ronan Keating

Ronan Patrick John Keating was born on March 3 1977 and grew up in Bayside, Dublin.

His mother Marie died on February 2, 1998 from breast cancer; Ronan and his family have since set up a charity "The Marie Keating Foundation" to help find a cure for cancer.

Ronan married Irish model Yvonne Connolly (b. 1974) on April 30, 1998 on Nevis Island. They have three children - Jack (born March 15, 1999), Marie, known as Missy, (born February 18,2001) and Ali (born September 7, 2005)

Ronan has rejoined his Boyzone bandmates and recently completed a very successful reunion tour. Due to release their comeback single on 29th September 2008, Love You Anyway is a tune and will be followed by a Greatest Hit album released on 13th October 2008.

In Feb 2009 Ronan will join Gary Barlow, Chris Moyles, Ben Shepherd, Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Denise Van Outen, Fearne Cotton and Alesha Dixon to climb Kilimanjaro and raise money for Comic Relief.

Supernatural Season 4

The last we saw, Dean was in Hell, strapped down by some very uncomfortable-looking chains.

In the opening moments of season four, we witness Dean's escape as he quite literally emerges from beneath the ground to rejoin the world of the living.

The mystery: Who helped drag him up from the pit of Hell, leaving mysterious hand prints burnt into his torso?

Season 4 is currently being shown in the US and will be shown on ITV in the UK from January 2009 (Date yet to be confirmed)

Britannia High

IT’S cheese on toast with extra cheese on top, but I rather like the high energy song and dance routines of Britannia High.

What irritates me is that it treats its young audience as if they’re as stupid as the characters. It was obvious from the start that Danny (pretty boy Mitch Hewer) couldn’t read, but the storyline was so drawn-out as we laboured towards the surprise revelation.

This ITV1 series also encourages the X Factor generation of kids who think they don’t have to work for a living. It makes Hollyoaks, which at least features a plumber, look gritty.

Alan Ritchson

Ritchson attended Niceville High School and got his modeling start in the Abercrombie and Fitch catalogue. He appeared on American Idol, where he was one of the top 87 contestants in the third season before being cut in Hollywood. He was remembered primarily for his striptease in one episode in which he wooed judge Paula Abdul.

He later guest starred on the TV series Smallville as the young version of Arthur Curry, a.k.a, Aquaman. He also had an independent album called This is Next Time, released in late 2005.

In April 2006, Ritchson had a small role in a Hallmark Channel movie, Though None Go With Me starring Cheryl Ladd. He played a U.S. Army Officer.

In 2007, Ritchson reprised his role as Aquaman on Smallville. He will play a different version of the character in Justice League: The New Frontier.

He will star in Spring Break '83, to be released in 2008.

Alan will appear in Fired Up in 2009.

Ritchson also modeled underwear for the men's online underwear store internationaljock.com. He is signed to L.A. agency Vision Model Management.

Andy Roddick

Tennis player Andy Roddick has backtracked on a deal to give tennis lesson in the buff after a woman bid 11,200 dollars for the chance at a charity auction.

The offer from Roddick was auctioned off at one of Sir Elton John's AIDS Foundation fundraisers earlier this year.

However, Roddick has backtracked over the naked training, insisting it was just a joke. "First and foremost, I am not going to be playing naked tennis. It was said in jest and the lady who bid was really cool afterwards," Contactmusic quoted him, as saying.

Fabian Leimlehner

Fabian Leimlehner, is a very hot Austrian gymnast who was recently in the 2008 Olympics and is 20 years old.

I didn’t actually watch much of the Olympics so missed him, however an email I was reading made me look him up.

He weighs 68kg and is 1m 71c Tall

Like any ambitious gymnast, Fabian Leimlehner trains hard. His mother is Swiss and his father Austrian, he has dual nationality, but chosen to compete under the colours of Austria.

 

Justin Timberlake

Considering everything he's done since he released FutureSex/LoveSound two years ago, it's easy to forget that Justin Timberlake is a pop star first and foremost. From "Dick in a Box" to Shrek the Third, Black Snake Moan and Alpha Dog, to his three restaurants, his William Rast designer label and his relationship with Jessica Biel, well, it almost seems that just being JT is enough to keep him busy.

From an undetermined source comes "Magic," a brand new (we think) track from Timberlake that is shockingly not the work of his mentor, Timbaland. Instead, those responsible are the next wave, shall we say, of uber-slick pop producers, the Norwegian team that's so unfortunately named Stargate (yeah, for reals). Known best for penning hits by Beyoncé ("Irreplaceable"), Ne-Yo ("So Sick"), Chris Brown ("With You") and Rihanna ("Take A Bow"), looking at Stargate's discography is not only eye-opening for what they've already done (Blue's "One Love"!), but for what they've done that's set to come out: R. Kelly's12 Play: Fourth Quarter, Rihanna's next album.

I like "Magic." It's not exactly "My Love" but I think moving on from Timbaland — something I'm certain isn't a complete emancipation — is a smart move for JT to find some new ground. He doesn't receive a complete makeover from Stargate, in fact, it's pretty Timbaland-ish, what with the funk guitar, farting synth slides, chopped vocal tricks, Jacko-obsessed bass riff and whip-cracking beats. But we don't get Timba's imposing guest appearance and that's important (at least to me), and perhaps more than ever, JT taps into Stevie Wonder's soul with a brief indulgence in electric piano and layered harmonies (see the 2:10 mark). Perhaps he is stepping on Robin Thicke's toes a little but let's face it, he gave this generation's white boys the opportunity to make music like this palatable.

As he sings, "Everything ain't what it seems," I do begin to wonder: what exactly is this? Where did it come from? Is it new or is it simply a FutureSex/LoveSoundthrowaway recovered from a dumpster somewhere? And most importantly, should we get our hopes up that this is a sign that Justin Timberlake's Third Studio Album will be with us sooner than we expected? Actually, most important is: whenever it comes out, will it be better than that tripe (i.e. "Four Minutes") he sold to Madonna?
