Fernando Torres

Fernando José Torres Sanz (born 20 March 1984) is a Spanish football player currently playing for Liverpool. He was born in Fuenlabrada, a large suburban town south of Madrid. At 17, he became the youngest player to play for Atlético Madrid and, two years later, the youngest to become its captain.

In the five seasons preceding his move to Liverpool from Atlético, Torres scored 75 goals in La Liga, a feat only bettered by Ronaldo, David Villa and Samuel Eto'o during the same period. Prior to that, Torres also played two seasons in the Spanish second division, where he scored seven goals in 40 appearances.

In February 2001, Torres won the Algarve Tournament with the Spain under-16 team. In May, the under-16s took part in the 2001 UEFA European Under-16 Football Championship, which they also won, with Torres scoring the only goal in the final.[2] He finished as the tournament's leading goalscorer (7 goals in 6 games) and was also voted the best performer.

In 2003, Torres made his senior debut for the full Spanish national team on September 6, 2003 in a friendly against Portugal. His first goal for Spain came against Italy on April 28, 2004. Torres was chosen as part of the Spanish squad for Euro 2004. He only appeared as a late substitute in Spain's first two group games, but made the first eleven for the deciding game against Portugal. Spain lost 1-0 and were eliminated. At his first ever appearance in a World Cup finals at the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, Torres scored the final goal in a 4-0 victory over Ukraine with a volley. In the second group match, Torres scored twice against Tunisia, in the 76th minute for Spain to take the lead 2-1 and then again from a penalty kick in the 90th.

Calvin Goldspink

Although he spends most of his time in the USA, he's still busy doing lots of things.

A little bit of information from his official site :

My new album will be released sometime later this year. I've been back in the studio working with some new producers and muscians, and I'm happy to report that it's been great getting back into my music. A lot of people are wondering what direction this new record is going to take in terms of style and sound.Well, to be honest, we haven't really settled on the sound yet but from what we are working on at the moment, you can expect that it will be a lot more grown up than the material we did in S Club 8. I'm really excited about how well the writing process is going, so you can look forward to something completely different!  Check back to the site as much as you can, and we’ll keep you up to posted with our progress. I’m so pleased with all the fan support and I want you be the first to know when the album is going to be released and to hear it when it's done. Thanks again everybody.

I don't know if the album is a US or UK release or both, but as soon as I know, you will know.

Zac Efron / High School Musical 2

I just noticed I haven't posted about Zac Efron for ages, High School Musical is on BBC1 at the moment so it reminded me lol.

I'm not going to concentrate on High School Musical 1 and 2, let's talk about High School Musical 3.  Of course it features Zac Efron.

The following is an article in The Grand Rapids Press, the pictures are of course of Zac Efron and where not published by The Grand Rapids Press.    Chucky Klapow choreographed the dance moves for "High School Musical 3: Senior Year," scheduled for release in theaters in October. He gave us a sneak peek behind the curtain of the surefire box-office hit:

On Vanessa Hudgens (Gabriella): "Vanessa is the most naturally gifted in picking up the new moves.

"Things come really easily for her, so she gets lazy with it because she has to wait for the others to catch on. I have to be like, 'Vanessa, let's get working here.'"

On Corbin Bleu (Chad): "Corbin is also a gifted dancer, and he comes from a performing arts background, so he picks things up fast."

On raising the bar: "We only had 10 full days of dancing rehearsal for the first film -- I have no idea how we actually did it! The second movie we took three weeks to do the dancing, and right now we are in the middle of five full weeks of dance rehearsal. This cast is so dedicated and talented. We all raised the bar for 'HSM 2,' now we need to go back to that iconic, basic movement that made the first movie so great."

Chace Crawford / Gossip Girl

ITV are advertising coming soon, for you Americans out there, Gossip Girl is old news, it may be one of the favourite shows over there but in the UK we still have not got it on TV, yet. I can confirm it airs on 27th March 2008.

Blake Lively stars as resident hot girl Serena van der Woodsen. The hot boy role is filled by Leighton Meester, who plays Blair Waldorf. That's not to say the hotness is limited to those two.

Anyway, back to the story. Serena van der Woodsen was once the posho Upper East Side's most notorious party girl. Then she disappeared. No-one knows why, except, perhaps Gossip Girl. She's the mysterious blogger who keeps the locals up to date with the latest news.

When Serena suddenly turns up again, everyone wonders why. And why did she do a runner in the first place? All will be revealed in ITV2's Gossip Girl. Except, of course, the real identity of Gossip Girl.

Echo Beach! Do you like it ?

When Echo Beach was first announced by ITV it seemed like it would be worth watching. But although it has a very hot cast. It doesn't really interest me that much, although the sex scene on the beach with Ed Speelers in it made watching that episode worth it.

I have found many soaps tend to get boring after the first few episodes. Echo Beach needs to show some more flesh after all its set on a beach!!!!

Echo Beach is the title of a British television soap opera set in the fictional Cornish coastal town of Polnarren which began airing on ITV1 on January 10, 2008 and continues on Fridays thereafter. The show lasts for twelve weekly episodes and filming began in July 2007 for January 2008 broadcast. Tony Jordan created the show and it was produced by Kudos for ITV.

I will have to keep watching the show after all it has Ed Speelers and Christian Cooke in it.
