James Redmond

James William Forbes Redmond (born 24 November 1971 in London, England) is a British actor. He currently lives in Bristol although recently divorced from his now ex-wife Yvonne.

James' rise to fame began when he started modelling in April 1994, after being spotted in Milan by fashion scout Calvin Klein. After a number of years on the catwalk, James gave up modelling and decided to pursue a career on the small screen. Following a string of commercials, he signed up for acting lessons and, almost immediately, was offered a part in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks.

A failed stint of presenting on ITV’s SMTV Live was followed by a role in Sky One's steamy drama, Mile High. He is now noted for his current role as John ‘Abs’ Denham in the BBC One medical drama Casualty.

Henry Cavill

Cavill was born in Jersey, and was educated at St. Michael's Preparatory School in the Island, before attending Stowe School, a boarding school, where he acted in many plays.

Cavill has appeared in several films, including 2002's acclaimed The Count of Monte Cristo, the dramatic I Capture the Castle (2003), experimental musical comedy Red Riding Hood (2004), an "edgy" Hellraiser: Hellworld in (2005), and the 2006 film version of Tristan & Isolde.

In spite of his youth, Henry Cavill has already come extremely close to playing the leading man in three major films. Henry Cavill auditioned for the lead role in Batman Begins. For a while it looked like he may have won the cape, but then lost the crusade to Christian Bale. In 2005, he became the younger contender for the role of James Bond, and performed in a final screentest of the movie icon. The producers and director were torn between Cavill, Daniel Craig, and Sam Worthington. Apparently the director wanted Henry Cavill as a younger version of James Bond, roving about the parlors in Casino Royale. It turns out the producers believed Cavill too young for the role, which went to Daniel Craig.

He also auditioned for the role of Superman for the project that after many writers and directors eventually became Superman Returns, and was reportedly under heavy consideration before the October 2004 casting of Brandon Routh. In the December 05 edition of Empire Magazine, he was dubbed "...the most unlucky man in Hollywood". A resilient Henry Cavill stepped beyond the pale of circumstance, to say that the publicity brings his name out.

Cavill landed a leading role in the Showtime series The Tudors (2007), and a minor part in the fantasy film Stardust (2007), and, more recently, was featured in Vanity Fair's Hollywood's Next-Gen Men article.

He made his first appearance on 14 December 2005, taking over the role from Jake Weary. Shortly after taking over the role of Luke, the character came out as a gay man in a storyline in spring 2006.

hansis1

Hansis graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2004. Prior to joining ATWT, Hansis starred in the Broadway play The Laramie Project, among other stage shows. In 2006 he also starred in the short film The Time Machine.

A recent transplant to New York City, Van bike rides around his new city, every chance he gets. He is also teaching himself to cook.

When Only Hot Will Do has evolved

I started When Only Hot Will Do to show my appreciation for the hot men out there, but as time has gone by its grown, its got bigger.

Today rather than using whenonlyhotwilldo.blogspot.com its now whenonlyhotwilldo.com.  Blogger is still our blog host so nothing will chance, the only change is the domain name.

With nearly a 1000 visitors a day, we are not exactly a low traffic site so wanted to have a domain name then is easier than a blogspot name.

I never expected it to grow to what it has done in 5 months, and hopefully it will continue to grow.

Jensen Ackles

Well apparently I concentrate way too much on Jared Padalecki when I am talking about Supernatural, so here is a post just about Jensen Ackles.  (Don't worry I will be posting more on Jared, after all he is in my hot 10 list)

A few good pics of Jensen for you all, as for Supernatural its still going strong in the US, but as for UK date, ITV still have yet to confirm its Spring Schedule.

jensenackles1

After modeling off and on since he was a young child at the age of 4, Ackles began to concentrate on an acting career in 1996. He appeared in several guest roles on Mr. Rhodes, Sweet Valley High, and Cybill before joining the cast of the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives as Eric Brady in 1997. He won a 1998 Soap Opera Digest Award for Best Male Newcomer and went on to be nominated three times (in 1998, 1999, and 2000) for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series for his work on Days of Our Lives.

jensenackles2 jensenackles3

Ackles departed Days of Our Lives in 2000 and went on to appear in the mini-series Blonde about the life of Marilyn Monroe. He also auditioned for the role as the young Clark Kent on Smallville, but it was offered to actor Tom Welling instead. After failing to land the part, he appeared in a guest role on the James Cameron television series Dark Angel on Fox in 2001 as Ben/X5-493, the psychopathic, serial killer "brother" of the main character Max/X5-452 (played by Jessica Alba). His character died in the episode, but Ackles returned to the show as a series regular in the second season as Ben's twin, Alec/X5-494. He remained with the show until its cancellation in 2002.

jensenackles4

Ackles worked steadily throughout 2003. He joined the cast of the WB's hit show Dawson's Creek during the final season, playing CJ, Jen Lindley's lover. Afterward, Ackles filmed several episodes of the unaired series Still Life for Fox before it was abruptly dropped. He also had a small role in the 2004 short film The Plight of Clownana. Ackles was the producer's first choice to play Eliza Dushku's love interest on the second season of Tru Calling, who was coincidentally named Jensen, but Ackles returned to Vancouver (where Dark Angel was filmed) in 2004 to become a regular on Smallville instead, playing Jason Teague, the romantic interest of Lana Lang, played by Kristin Kreuk. He also had a lead role in the 2005 film Devour, where his father also had a role.

jensenackles5

Most recently, Ackles joined the cast of the WB horror series Supernatural in 2005, where he co-stars as Dean Winchester. Dean teams with his brother Sam (Jared Padalecki) to road trip across the country investigating the paranormal while searching for their missing father John Winchester (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). The second season was picked up by The CW in 2006 for the 2006-2007 television season. The show was later renewed for a third season.

jensenackles6

Ackles is set to appear in the 2007 film Ten Inch Hero, in which he will play the role of Priestly. He also appeared on stage from June 5-10, 2007 with Lou Diamond Phillips in A Few Good Men at Casa MaƱana Theatre in Fort Worth Texas as Lt. Daniel Kaffee. This marked the first time Jensen Ackles has performed in a live theatre setting outside of high school.

Hot or Not : John Barrowman

Haven't you wondered how some blog owners can post 6 or 7 items a day.  I find it hard to post once a day, after all I work full time so basically only have evenings and weekends free.  I tend to live a busy life so spend a lot of time out and about in pubs with mates etc, otherwise I could post more than one post a day apart from weekends when I can post loads if I wanted to, but I don't want to post rubbish and just pick hot men that are not really hot to fill space.

Anyway back to this post.  Hot or Not ?  The question is simple is John Barrowman hot or not ?    I think he is hot, even though hes getting on in years, but what do you think ?

John Barrowman (born 11 March 1967 in Mount Vernon, Glasgow) is a Scottish-American actor, musical performer, dancer, singer, and TV presenter who has lived and worked both in the United Kingdom and the United States. He currently lives in the UK with long term partner Scott Gill.

Barrowman is best known on British television for his acting and his presenting work on theatre. His most prominent television role has been the Captain Jack Harkness in Doctor Who and its spin-off series Torchwood. He has featured in such light entertainment shows as Live & Kicking, Any Dream Will Do and How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?, as well as appearing on the celebrity ice skating show Dancing on Ice.

Openly gay, he was voted the 2006 Stonewall "Entertainer of the Year" and was third in Broadcast magazine's "Hottest Commodity" poll in November 2006.

Jared Padalecki Interview

TVGuide.com: You're really switching gears for your next movie, aren't you?
Jared Padalecki:
Oh yeah. I've gone from a thriller/sci-fi/horror television show to a Christmas movie, which is about a complete 180, but that was part of the appeal — to see if after 44 episodes of the show, I could go back and do something completely different. It was so fun.
TVGuide.com: You play the massively successful artist Thomas Kinkade, whose work I find a little eerie, truthfully.
Padalecki: [Laughs] He's the best-selling artist in the world. The movie is called Home for Christmas, and it's about his early years when he started painting to save his mom's house. It's been optioned as a trilogy.
TVGuide.com: Have you ever been to one of his galleries?
Padalecki:
There was one where I grew up in San Antonio, and I went to a number after I booked the role.

TVGuide.com: My theory is that there's some kind of demonic energy that makes you buy his art.
Padalecki:
[Laughs] There might be. The movie's got a brilliant cast: Peter O'Toole, Marcia Gay Harden, Charlotte Rae, Chris Elliott and Ed Asner. When I read the script, to me it was just a feel-good Christmas movie that teaches a lesson about love and togetherness. But then [when] I got the role and the director said he was looking at Peter O'Toole for my mentor and Marcia Gay Harden for my mother, it became surreal. What a brilliant opportunity to work with actors that I've long idolized.
TVGuide.com: Could you actually talk to the legendary O'Toole?
Padalecki:
Peter is exactly how you would expect he would be and exactly how you would hope he would be. He's obviously very wise, confident and passionate, and he's still very funny and sharp. He doesn't want special Peter O'Toole treatment like, "Nobody talk to me, nobody knock on my trailer door." He initiated conversation between takes. It was amazing. I mean, he was Lawrence of Arabia!
TVGuide.com: So this season's Thursday-night 9 pm slot might be one of TV's toughest time slots ever.
Padalecki:
It hasn't been easy. Since Day 1 we've had insane competition, and it's clear that it's not going to get any easier for us. But we do have a very loyal audience and we're inspired to keep creating the best show that we can because of it. We always use the analogy that we feel like a very, very talented lightweight entering the ring with the heavyweights. I'm the best in my division, but I'm getting in the ring with Muhammad Ali. Unfortunately, we're up against some huge monsters. I don't think there has ever been a time slot where the No. 1 and the No. 2 shows are on at the same time. So I do the best that I can do and I hope it's well received, but whatever happens happens.

TVGuide.com: What's the biggest difference between playing Dean on Gilmore Girls and Dean's brother on Supernatural?
Padalecki:
I definitely have more guys coming up to me talking about Supernatural than about Gilmore Girls. [Laughs] This is definitely more of a cult following. The fans of Supernatural are much more intense than the fans of Gilmore Girls. Fans of Supernatural can name how we killed each demon while the fans of Gilmore Girls enjoy a storyline. On this show, they quiz me! "Oh yeah, what about the time ya'll went to Missouri and killed a shape-shifter, how you had to…. " Wow, they really know their stuff.

jared6

TVGuide.com: What do you do in the few hours you're not working?
Padalecki:
I'm not a big "going out" kind of guy. I'd rather stay at home and order pizza and watch a football game, play with my dogs, and then go out and go drinking. But every now and again Sandy and I will go out and get a bite to eat, or Jensen and I will go out to a movie or play a game of golf. But for the most part I'm just not into that, I'd much rather play guitar and go to a bar — I rhymed!
TVGuide.com: Yeah, you're a poet and you don't know it.
Padalecki:
Oh, that's good.

TVGuide.com: Don't you see enough of Jensen on set?
Padalecki:
Not at all. We're really good buddies and that's been probably the best thing about Supernatural. In the last three years of my life, I've spent more time with Jensen Ackles than with any other human being and vice versa. Luckily, we get along really well and we are very similar guys. We're both from Texas, we both love our families, the same kind of music, and the Dallas Cowboys. It's been a huge blessing to work with somebody who is easygoing on set and who I'm friends with.

TVGuide.com: We know he creams you at golf — what do you best him at?
Padalecki:
Guitar Hero the video game, and basketball. I've got an unfair advantage. [Laughs]
